Blues History
Ah, the Blues. We say we have the blues when you sit down. But the Blues "is also a music genre it is difficult to define, but most characteristic is defined as something with a specific chord progression – which includes the twelve-bar and the "Blue Note" that is flat or tilted relative to the tone of the scale.
Nobody knows for sure how the blues has its name or how it originated, but many theorize that began with unaccompanied vocal music of poor black workers between 1870 and 1900.
