England Teapot
Sadler I have a teapot with the number 448 in gold on the bottom and signed, no date, no information?
The kettle is pink and creamy white with gold trim around the nozzle, handle, up and down. The bottom is signed Sandler did in England No. 448 in gold. No date and I can not find one that looks like to it. Does anyone know when this tea could have been done or has any value?
I have a large teapot collection, many of which are Sadlers (Not Sandler). The number "448" is simply the "style" number. Without seeing the actual boat (send a photo?), Is difficult to determine the date of creation. Sadlers still being made in England and in perfect condition can vary in value from about $ 35-250. For a glass of water to be valuable, you must meet several criteria: 1. Must be in perfect condition, no chips or stains on any part of the pot. 2. If you have gold glitter on it, which must also be bright in excellent condition, no fading or infected points. 3. You must be a model that are not performing or are rare or in great demand from other collectors. 4. Must be a color that you can not do (such as certain "red and cobalt blue). Sadler was especially popular in the period 1940-50. You need to find books on the manufacturer that will tell you what your particular model (factory designation / name) and possibly its value.
