Journey through St. Ives, England
An old man stood at the edge of the port. He always is when it works. In his left hand is a photograph commitment to maintaining their availability for the next few days.
Has his brush in his right hand, masterfully transforming the fabric before paint it in someone's dream, an image to have pride of place on the wall of your living room.
Each stab another brush stops and takes a step back, checking his trial. Behind him are several pieces of previous work, the portraits of many a happy customer.
His face is weathered, the years of exposure to sea and wind. His gray hair straddles halfway back, tied in a ponytail. What a wonderful life you enjoy.
Through the port of St Ives fishermen prepare for a day at sea. Hopes for a good game to make gay jokes on board the vessels and equipment preparation of the nets and gear.
The stench of fish catch continues to linger past and moves around the pier. The algae clings to networks and adds to the flavor.
The rattle of the cover art in addition to general commotion that I make my way past the old sloop Posada and head towards the street main shopping high.
The narrow cobbled street begins with a nod. To the left is an attractive gift shop full of souvenirs ocean. The entrance leads to a short but steep flight of steps, beyond the over-hanging news.
Once at the bottom of the store is opened in a cave underground curiosities. delicate little ornaments fill every corner.
The shelves at home in front a series of maps depicting the geographical changes in the ages in all regions of England.
The streets are now over life as full of locals and tourists make their way through the tight crowd narrow streets like an army of ants busy.
Every few minutes the discomfort of a passing motorist disturbs the balance of the street.
The cobblestone streets are so narrow you literally have to be back to the wall to allow the passing vehicle. God help you if you have pushchairs and children.
However, this minor complaint aside, St Ives is a city with a rich, a place for shopping, sunbathing and life experience in one of the quintessential fishing villages of Cornwall.
