What are the effects of the most shocking and a chlorinated pool?
My aunt bought a 12×36 pool. She seems to be more powerful chlorination and over it. We bought both the shock and chlorine in powdered form in jars large enough. I can not remember the exact amount. She has gone through two of them in two weeks. She blows and chlorinated pool every day. And today he bought 10 packs of Oz discharge of dust, is used both of them today, even without mixing with water first. Therefore not a question of whether it is more shocking and more than chlorination. But … She has atleast 60-10 children swimming in the pool. I realize that chlorine is health, but sometimes too.
While levels of total and free chlorine is less than 10 ppm then the children are safe. This is the maximum allowable limit of chlorine in public pools here in the states. However, the fact that it is certainly not meant to be ideal. If she is dumping that chlorine in the water so there is a problem … maintenance of the chemical. chlorine will burn out of water in a sunny day, but some products contain chlorine in the pool stabilizer to protect against the UV degradation. If chlorine is being added this, then build up to levels that chlorine is no longer effective in the pool. If you can, please take a water sample to your local swimming pools have tested it. Ask them to try the following: Total chlorine Free chlorine Combined chlorine pH Alkalinity Hardness Cyanuric acid Total dissolved solids Metals Phosphates Bring these results back and post them here please send an email to me robandliz1992@yahoo.com and I'll be more than happy to discuss the findings and develop a maintenance program of the pool to remain healthy and pure, without the use of any chemicals.
