Luncheon Plates
Planning the wedding meal
The big day is just around the corner. The wedding meal sets the tone for the rest of the ceremony and it is important to do your homework. Buffet or sit-down? What foods should be on the menu? The type of food depends on the formality of the wedding. Since no pair is the same, not the wedding should be the same. Not all the needs of the wedding dinner to be served to guests seated at round tables of ten or twelve years. Consider buffet or a combination of buffet and sit down. Nobody says you have to be one or the other. In fact, the combination really works well, if you have the first course is and the plates are cleared each table, guests can make their way to the buffet for the next year; natural minimizing any possible power lines.
If buffet is the route you go, consider the following. At least make sure that the buffet has a protein (meat, chicken or fish) and a few dishes, including a vegetable (salad or vegetables) and a carbohydrate. In the table should be abundant, possibly with elegant candles, a tablecloth or other embellishments. Meat and fish have different flavors do not mix, especially when taking into account the complimentary salsa that can happen to everyone. If you are having a buffet, separate section meat of the fish section with flowers. You need to double the vegetables and carbohydrates, but at least the main attraction will not be ruined! Also, make sure take into account the dietary restrictions. "Some vegetarians or vegans in attendance? Make sure there are plenty of options to meet the religious needs and diet. It may seem silly, but the size of the plate makes a difference. Nobody wants to see Uncle Bill on balance acting through the room! Instead of using a plate of 12 inches, consider using a lunch plate of 8 inches.
The smaller plate will encourage guests to enjoy each dish as intended with the right mix of sides. Also, if different food stations, each with a different offer, smaller plates encourage guests to see what else is being served.
