Orchard Road, the place to buy and have some entertainment
Orchard Road in Singapore. It is a journey and a center for retailers and also entertainment. A lot of tourists visit the Orchard Street. The road is named after the fruit orchards (but also included pepper and nutmeg) that were there in 1800 on each side of the road. The area was once instead of Orchard Road which includes the Gambier and pepper plantations, later cultivated walnut nutmeg and lastly the fruit was grown.
The initial point of sale located in Orchard Road was spikes, which opened during the 1950's. Orchard Road also has cafes, bars and restaurants, and numerous shopping centers. The official residence, the Istana, the President of Singapore is also located in Orchard Road.
The shopping centers are located along Orchard Road include, Scotts Shopping Centre, Liat Towers, Palace of the Renaissance Hilton Singapore, Orchard Point, Mandarin Gallery, Shaw House and Centre, Mall The Forum, The Centrepoint, Tang Plaza, The Heeren Shops, Paragon, Wheelock Place, Far East Plaza, Plaza luck, Plaza Singapura, Wisma Atria and Ngee Ann City.
New shopping malls are also plans to build in the area of Orchard Road, some of these centers include the Central Orchard, Ion Orchard, 313 @ Somerset and Mandarin Gallery.
While traveling to Singapore and explore the area of Orchard Road, one would have to consider a property in Singapore.
