How to keep white powder that movie off the rose plants?
Every time I buy a mini or regular rose start to get this dusty very thin white film on the leaves. Any way to prevent this from happening? And how to prevent it happening in the first place?
You have described the symptoms of "powdery mildew", which is caused due to: insufficient air flow, keeping the leaves wet for long periods and high humidity. Although not kill mildew your roses, you weaken and prevent photosynthesis. You can prevent it from happening by: 1) Placing your plant in an area where it gets adequate ventilation (to avoid crowding from other plants) permit. 2) The mid-morning to water the leaves to dry during the day. 3) Remove all infested leaves in the area that can accommodate disease. 4) Place the plants in a sunny spot and avoid excessive nitrogen application. for there are several good products that can be applied to control this disease, or sulfur-based materials and copper, sodium bicarbonate, neem oil, spray oils, Ultra fine, fungicides such as "Triforine" and "Immunox" also is a beneficial bacteria that prevents / protects the plant and maintains established powdery mildew … is called Bacillus subtilis. " If your plants are already infected, I recommend Use one of the oils and then make an application for a preventative .. as Immunox "to help protect against re-occurrence.
