If you keep the original labels in a vase Murano?
Not sure if this is more a decoration or a matter of art, but I thought ask here first. I recently purchased a few glasses of Murano glass art. Some have stickers indicating that the original made in Murano or Italy, or to name the manufacturer. Should I take this off or keep them in? For resale know is better to have these to show they really are Murano glass and made in Italy. But for presentation purposes, it would be strange to keep them? Does the removal of the stickers at the expense of the value of the pieces so significant? This is vintage or used items, all in good condition and considered to be collectible. Any ideas would be helpful. Also, any suggestions on how to display or what the textures and other decorations complement the art of glass? Thanks!
Murano is a collectible in the sense that it is necessary to have a state label is Murano or even the brand name. Anyone who knows and values to know a piece of glass from Murano. The glass is only made in Murano and there are few places they do. This is a more expensive glass to buy, but so is Waterford and many Scandinavian glass manufacturers. But do not keep their tags on them. No pieces are numbered and dated. These pieces are simply more expensive to buy and I certainly do not want to give to Goodwill if I did not care for them any longer. If you were to sell could only sell to someone who appreciates the quality of glass or appreciate the look. I use all my glass instead of just decorating with it as I do not like the look the museum in my house. But if they wish, put them in a lighted display case. Glass is only exceptional when on the glass and lit it.
